The first winner and short listed candidates of the Neave Book Prize will be announced in November 2017 at an event in London. Pool Re will provide updates on the prize, including the short list of nominations in the late summer, allowing our Members and other stakeholders to read the submissions themselves.
Julian Enoizi, CEO of Pool Re said, “Pool Re is proud to sponsor the inaugural Neave Book Prize. As the principal reinsurer of UK commercial property against terrorist attacks we recognise the important role that academia and private authors have in supporting the Government and industry in identifying and assessing the unprecedented terrorist threats that we face. We see this as an exciting opportunity to harness the power of academic research and book publication into understanding current and future terrorism events that pose an enduring threat to the business community and our societies. This sponsorship is also an opportunity to further our goal of becoming a central resource and centre of expertise, which builds upon the work we are currently engaged in with other leading research centres such as Cranfield University and the Judge Business School, in the study and management of the perils posed by all types of terrorist methodology.”
