Join Our Fringe Session: Insuring the uninsurable – Navigating exclusions and preparing for systemic risks

Join an insightful discussion with Tom Clementi (CEO, Pool Re) and Anthony Cordonnier (Global Co-Head of Cyber, Guy Carpenter)as they explore the characteristics and impacts of systemic risk and the challenges of navigating exclusions. This session will explore the lessons to be learnt from the different ways in which governments and insurance markets around the world have innovated to address systemic risks such as terrorism. Tom and Anthony will also discuss current initiatives in the UK and US which are exploring how governments, and the insurance industry could collaborate more effectively to prepare for systemic cyber risk, and invite an interactive audience Q&A.
By attending this presentation delegates should be able to; (1) Learn about the attributes of systemic risks and how markets around the world have responded to them, (2) Understand more about the UK’s approach to managing and financing terrorism risk and (3) Understand the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing effective public-private (re)insurance responses to systemic cyber risk.
