Pool Re recognises it has a duty to ensure that day-to-day business practices are undertaken ethically, environmentally, sustainably and in a socially responsible manner. The business is operated through high ethical policies and practices, and continues to look for ways to further develop our approach to Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability.
The support of Pool Re has been truly invaluable, we would have remained completely lost without their knowledge, expertise and generous contribution!
With this in mind, we have created an internal working group, the role of which is to consider new schemes and initiatives designed to support environmental sustainability and positive societal contribution within our community and further afield. Pool Re launched a revised CSR programme, following extensive staff consultations and a programme of development work, led by incoming Chief Executive Julian Enoizi.
Our partnership with Age UK Lewisham & Southwark focusses on the specific needs of the Stones End Day Centre in Southwark, a specialist care and support
Centre. Since 1984 the Centre has developed a range of services to support the complex and changing needs of disadvantaged elderly people.
Our ambition remains to develop a range of programmes which both inspire and engage our employees and wider stakeholders, whilst at the same time creating maximum social impact by making a meaningful difference to the well-being of others.

Our key aims include, but are not limited to:
Raising funding to support a range of giving initiatives – through targeted corporate gifts and staff fundraising. Addressing key socio, economic and diversity challenges.
Recruiting, training and enabling our employees to regularly volunteer and provide support for a range of initiatives.
We believe our community programmes reinforce our core values, foster innovation, leadership and personal accountability whilst protecting and nurturing all who work for us through learning and the ability to contribute. This in turn enables us to recruit and retain key talent and nurture excellence within the workplace.
Pool Re have done some fantastic work through the community programme with Age UK. At Aviva we are passionate supporters of the Corporate Social Responsibility agenda and we really value partners who proactively engage in this area too.
